The VAAT/e Transport was originally used by law enforcement officials on Coruscant and galaxy-wide as a platform for rapid deployment by the Republic Security Forces. The VAAT/e was the original inspiration for the design of the LAAT/i Gunship used in the Clone Wars.

The ship is twenty-five meters in length, seven meters tall, with a twenty-five meter wing span. Its crew consisted of a Pilot, Copilot, and two Gunners. When Jango Fett assassinated Senator Connus Trell of Ryloth, the Coruscant Police Force used a VAAT/e Transport to pursue the bounty hunter.

Capabilities[]

The VAAT/e is a popular deployment platform for police and security forces throughout the galaxy. Its dual door design allows for rapid insertion of troops via parachute, repulsor pack, or zip line. It also gives troops the ability to provide a greater degree of cover fire from within the vessel's hold.
