The Chalactan Adepts are a spiritual order originating from the Mid Rim world of Chalacta. Its followers believe that the natural order that guides the universe also directs and shapes the lives of all those that inhabit it. Their mantra, "So Without, As Within," is a reminder that the universe is connected, and that the stars and other celestial bodies influence the lives of everyone. Members of The Chalactan Adepts strive for enlightenment, studying and contemplating this goal in the many temples built throughout the civilized galaxy.
The mystics of the Chalactan faith are overseen by the Convocation of Adepts. This inner circle is responsible for the induction of new members into their order. The Convocation of Adepts is comprised of members of The Chalactan Adepts that have attained Chalactan Enlightenment- the highest degree of spiritual attunement, and the ultimate goal of all Chalactan Adepts. The Convocation of Adepts presides over the order at the Temple of Illumination in the religion’s birthplace on Chalacta.
Members of The Chalactan Adepts endeavoring to reach their objective of Chalactan Enlightenment are referred to as Seekers. Seekers bear the Lesser Mark of Illumination- a small gold bead permanently attached between the eyes of the Adept. The Lesser Mark is a symbolic representation of the Seeker and their devotion to the journey of total enlightenment. Those who achieved their goal bore the Greater Mark of Illumination, representing the Unclosing Eye or the universe. This mark was characterized by a second, larger gold bead affixed to the Adept’s forehead. Together, the two marks symbolize the order of Chalactan Adepts.

While anyone can be a follower of the Chalactan faith, only those that possess the Force Sensitivity Feat and a Dark Side Score of 1 or less may be considered for membership by the Convocation of Adepts.
