- Actually, it produces this much water per 16 hours. Therefore, it produces 5,55 to 9,75 liters of water per 24 hours, in arid desert like Tatooine. As such, in such case, it will pay for itself in roughly 72 to 42 days. In desert, you could recycle your own piss with Water Extractor. Pour piss in Water Extractor, get it turned into clean water; piss -> clean -> drink. All that until organism runs out of liquid to recycle. Human on average pisses 1.5-2 liters of piss per day (less when starving in arid desert); coincidentally, while human requires 3.7 liters or 4-6.5 liters, there are unreliable claims of some people surviving at 2.35 liters (including moisture from food).
