Hidden shield generator[]
Nothing states what you can't attach light Energy Shields to it. If you wear outer layer of armor, you may attach the second shield generator on it. Therefore you can carry two of these.
But even the Thinsuit limits your dexterity. It has Max Desterity bonus +6, and other armor are even worse. For comparison, Citizen has 10 dexterity. 109.62.242.42 15:09, 21 March 2023 (UTC)
- Actually, thinsuit is pretty comfortable to wear. For example, character with dexterity score of 18 gains +4 bonus to their reflex defense. So, to "grow up" of thinsuit - basically, to get +7 or bigger dexterity bonus (what needs 31.5 or 35 dexterity, if i calculated it right) - you need to be pretty high-level character. Before that moment, thinsuit practically doesn't limit you. Also it offers partial protection against vacuum, as it qualifies as "Extreme cold", because vacuum is cold, and suit is hermitized. Also suit can be used to hide items - Bandolier or Holster placed on it would be obstructed by clothes and any other armor or suit you are wearing - so seeing their contents would be difficult. Also remember what thinsuit can be worn under anything - you can put thinsuit and some kind of hazmat mask (Breath Mask, Aquata Breather) under Flight Suit or Space Suit. - Thinsuit is good because it allows you to use some Armor Upgrades and Gear Templates without having penalties of actually having armor. For example, you could make good environmental protection out of it: Standard Vacuum Seals + Environmental System (plus maybe some 0-slots upgrades like Armorplast and Helmet Package) - it would allow you to ignore most environmental dangers (including atmospheric Hazards, inhaled Poisons, Extreme Heat or Cold - e.g. it logically should protect against lava) - and on top of that add some armor template (Massassi General Template, GenoHaradan General Template or Verpine General Template) - essentially giving a Flight Suit what can be put under armor. If we strip defensive material (removing +5 against extreme temperatures - Enviromental systems make us immune to them anyway) we can add both Environmental Systems, Aquatic Adaptation, and we will still have 3 spare points. That would weight 1.5 KG with Armorplast and Vacuum Seals. Also you could add Droidification, turning it into tiny mechanized suit/power armor and then add Droid Systems to it (now it will carry gear for you, and it can also have much more functions) to wear under droidificated Space Suit. - To "grow out" of Thinsuit - basically, to get +7 Dexterity Bonus - as you can see in Abilities, you need at least 24 Dexterity stat, what very few characters can get that high. To "grow out" of Energy Shields, Light one needs +5 bonus (at least 20 Dexterity), +4 with medium (at least 18 Dexterity) and +3 with heavy (at least 16 Dexterity) - they're still manageable, though Heavy and Medium shield come pretty close to the unwieldy part. 95.71.72.239 13:14, 8 December 2023 (UTC)
Thinsuit can be stacked on top of each other - as every Thinsuit is "Armor" and Thinsuit can be worn under Armor. Therefore, you could wear lots of Thinsuits with each having it's own Armor Upgrades and Weapon and Armor Accessories. For example: Thinsuit with Vacuum Seals and Heat Environmental Systems + Thinsuit with Cold Environmental Systems + Thinsuit with Aquatic Adaptation. Also, that would allow to stack arbitrary number of Energy Shields on PC, even if you couldn't stack shield on top of each other or add arbitrary number of them to 1 Thinsuit. --109.62.165.182 14:06, 17 July 2024 (UTC)
