Sizes[]

One of the few Colossal characters available. But in that case its pretty much mandatory to use SotG Starship Modifications as gear (like using Weapon Systems as handheld weapons), as otherwise you won't find weapons of appropriate size. 109.62.227.217 13:29, 14 December 2023 (UTC)

Also one of the few available Fine-sized species. But such thing won't even be able to use Hold-Out Blaster Pistol two-handed. On the other hand, playing as Colossal bruiser is pretty much unique ("I grab lamppost and smash him, how much damage that will do", ""). Though such variant is pretty much monobuild - it's either "Hulk smash" or "Walking artillery". Adapting SotG Starship Modifications for foot character use and/or making a formula for upscaling normal weapons are mandatory in that case. 109.62.227.217 13:47, 14 December 2023 (UTC)
Another variant, pretty much house rule/rule of thumb, is a combined specie: a Replica Droid what replicates the Colossal Killik, including size. Now you can use Droid Systems (or even SotG Starship Modifications, if your DM allows it), basically turning your Colossal Killik Replica Droid into heavily armed and armored, flying fortress. It sounds unbalanced, but it's funny enough to outweigh it and have fun while playing in unexpected way. The problem is what rules were not made for playing as Colossal, so it would require massive amounts of Rules of Thumb - so massive what it's pretty much writing (or re-writing) huge amounts of text, bordering on House Rules, if not on fan addon. 109.62.244.201 20:57, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
Or turn your Colossal Killik into Total-Replacement Cyborg - so you can then cram Droid Systems in him to make him into living cruiser. 109.62.244.201 21:03, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
Also, where is house rules for playing as utterly massive characters (including Colossal, or even bigger ones)? Like, sentient Vehicles (with droid-like brains inside of them), or Droids the size of vehicles, or just those big guys like Colossal Killik. 109.62.244.201 21:03, 20 December 2023 (UTC)

It's important to note that this is NOT in the Character Options section of The Unknown Regions which has playable species. It's in the GM section, intended for NPCs. (Although there are other species in that section which are playable in other sources, such as the Rakata or Chiss, even though they aren't marked as such in The Unknown Regions.) As such, playing this species should require special GM permission. And any GM who allows a player to use anything but a Small or Medium Killik is a fool. You can play "anything but a Small or Medium Killik" - if your entire party just wants to fool around. However, it seems like there is a legitimate way to play Huge or bigger character - if you play as Droid Heroes or Replica Droid, you could try to argue what, because you add a lot of parts to yourself, your droid's size can increase - therefore you could try to increase the size of your droid by addint systems to it, to the point when it's size category would shift. But that's more hypothetical - enlarging a Medium droid to Large size sounds plausible, but enlarging Medium droid to Huge size sounds problematic. 109.62.240.115 17:52, 16 January 2024 (UTC)
For example, adding High-Speed Cutting Torch and Welder to medium Droid will instantly make that droid Large. Then you can add lots upon lots of various systems to make it Huge. When Droid becomes of bigger size category, his carrying capacity increases - what allows him to accommodate for increasingly big amounts of pointless systems. Will that strategy work? 109.62.240.115 17:55, 16 January 2024 (UTC)
