The Kursk, or leader, of The Blackguard during the Emperor's reign, San'sii is notable for his expansionist policies, making The Blackguard a known, if minor faction within The Outer Rim Territories.

His idea of recruiting non-Force-sensitive Blackguard Minions allows The Blackguard to expand its power and influence, with more and more Wilders rising while the minor tasks are handled by their Minions.

Not all were favorable of San'sii's presence, however. Several archaeologists, interested in the Jedi Ruins occupied by The Blackguard, found the Kursk to be a nuisance, and frequently sought to disrupt the Blackguard's authority and power.
