Radiation is inflicted in highly irradiated places, or with damage weapons and generators. Radiation Hazards always attack the Fortitude Defense of a target, ignoring both a target's Damage Reduction, and a target's Shield Rating. They cause Persistent Conditions if they move a target down the Condition Track. The Persistent Condition cannot be removed until the Radiation is cured (See Treat Injury for more details).

Each round a creature is exposed to a harmful dose of Radiation, make an attack roll (1d20+The Radiation's attack bonus) against the creature's Fortitude Defense. If the attack fails, the creature shrugs off the Radiation and suffers none of it's effects. If the attack succeeds, the creature moves -1 Persistent step along the Condition Track, and takes an amount of Radiation damage based on the Radiation's strength, as shown in the table below. The Treat Injury DC to heal this Radiation damage is dependent on the classification of the Radiation.

A creature that dies from Radiation exposure can be Revived. However, Reviving a creature doesn't remove the Radiation from it's system; the Radiation must be treated separately.

RADIATION TYPE CHALLENGE LEVEL (CL) ATTACK BONUS RADIATION DAMAGE TREAT INJURY DC
Mild CL 2 +1 2d6 15
Moderate CL 4 +2 4d6 20
