Karatos Plague Disease data created by Wikia user AiserLaran.
Native to Concord Dawn, the Karatos Plague is a deadly viral disease that attacks the nervous system of its victims, causing blindness, brain damage and death. Fortunately, there is both a vaccine and a cure available to treat this otherwise extremely deadly disease.

Special: If Karatos Plague pushes the target -3 steps down along the Condition Track, the target suffers the effects of Blindness. If Karatos Plague pushes the target to the bottom of the Condition Track, the target dies instead of falling unconscious. Once a creature has been vaccinated or has been exposed to the Karatos Plague and the Disease has been treated, that creature cannot contract the Disease again. A dose of Karatos Plague Antidote costs 300 credits (100 credits on Concord Dawn, Concordia and Mandalore) and weighs 0.2 kilograms. A dose of Karatos Disease Vaccine costs 600 credits (50 credits on Concord Dawn, Concordia and Mandalore) and weighs 0.1 kilograms.
Despite its short Recurrence, the Karatos Plague doesn't act like a Poison, because it is not triggered by a single little exposure to the infected spores responsible for carrying the Disease. Whenever a creature is exposed to a minimal amount of spores infected with the Karatos Plague virus and inhales them, they silently accumulate in their host's body. When a creature has suffered a number of exposures equal to its Constitution score, the Karatos Plague is triggered, applying the effects described above. However, a single exposure to a significant amount of spores could be enough to instantly trigger the effects of the Karatos Plague, make it acting like an Atmosphere Inhaled Poison.
