More than mere decoration, a Kama is a type of heavy skirt typically worn over armor. A Kama is normally made from heavy leather or some flexible material with protection from puncture. ARC Troopers and some Clone Trooper units wore Kamas during the Clone Wars as protection from fragmentation explosions when minefields were prevalent. Wearing a Kama provides a +1 circumstance bonus to the wearer's Reflex Defense against Burst and Splash attacks.
