Endurance-Class Fleet Carrier

Following the New Republic's "New Class" practice, the Endurance-Class Fleet Carriers were built upon the same basic hull and systems of the Nebula-Class Star Destroyer. The Endurance-Class Fleet Carriers serve The New Republic as Starfighter transports, bringing to bear significant numbers of Heavy Starfighters (Primarily B-Wings and K-Wings).

Besides being a base ship for StarfightersEndurance-Class Fleet Carriers also serve as command vessels. Task force commanders and fleet flag officers often use these carriers as their flagships. Admiral Areta Bell raised her flag aboard the lead ship of the Endurance-Class, during the Orinda campaign of 12 ABY, until her destruction by the Imperial Remnant at the Battle of Orinda.

Tactical Fire[]

The mere presence of a Endurance-Class Fleet Carrier can turn the tide of battle, thanks to it's impressive fire support. As a Standard Action, an Endurance-Class Fleet Carriers can forgo all attacks to provide Tactical Fire to all squares in a 2-square radius around itself. All attacks made against a Starship of Colossal (Frigate) size or larger within that area deal triple damage on a Critical Hit. If the attack would normally deal triple damage on a Critical Hit, it deal four times as much damage instead.
