Another design by the Corellian Engineering Corporation, the VCX-100 Light Freighter is a modest design that found popular use by traders and smugglers in The Outer Rim. The VCX-100 is outfitted with basic sleeping quarters, a galley, and a common room. The most famous of these ships, The Ghost, is used extensively by Hera Syndulla of The Rebel Alliance.
The main cargo bay is accessed by an entrance ramp below the primary cockpit, allowing the forward-turret to guard the entryway. Unique to its design, the VCX-100 also has a docking slot between its main engines, into which a VCX Auxiliary Shuttle can dock. Additionally, the VCX-100 Light Freighter is outfitted with a magnetic cargo clamp on its ventral plating, allowing it to transport additional bulk containers.
