By the time Palpatine declares his New Order, Corellia's descent into lawlessness is already under way. Diktat Dupas Thomree cuts a deal with the Emperor to largely keep Imperial forces out of the system and Corellian affairs in general. In return, the Diktat promises Palpatine to maintain production at the vital Corellian Engineering Corporation shipyards, pay taxes to the Empire, and politically support Palpatine's galactic policies. Corellia's populace- a naturally independent and daring bunch- erupts in protest.
The Diktat and other Corellian leaders enforce law and order through the ubiquitous presence and diverse resources of Corellian Security (CorSec). During the Dark Times, Corellia is a system constantly in flux between the law imposed by the Diktat and enforced by CorSec and the criminal forces that indulge the people's natural independance, recklessness, and bravado. The system runs rampant with smugglers, crime syndicates, and pirates who flaunt the law to make a profit or even undermine Corellian and Imperial rule. The dedicated members of CorSec- from patrols on the street and administrative clerks to para-military response units and intelligence operatives- work tirelessly to strike a balance between a resentful, defiant populace and the Empire's threat of direct occupation. Despite CorSec's best efforts, many criminals slip through the cracks, including the members of several resistance cells working on Corellia and in other systems.
The Empire still maintains a presence on Corellia, since Palpatine never truly trusts the Diktat to maintain his end of the bargain. An Imperial intelligence liaison and a small support staff openly work with CorSec personnel, overseeing operations, designating priorities, and analyzing the overall strategic situation in the constant fight to impose order on the lawless system. ISB and COMPNOR agents infiltrate many levels of Corellian Security to maintain at the very least a watchful eye on activities in the system. Their intelligence aids CorSec in its efforts to stem crime and eliminate any resistance to Imperial or Diktat rule. On several occasions when the Corellian Engineering shipyards seem in immediate danger, The Imperial Navy assigns a squadron of warships to guard the orbital stardocks, an action that prompts a renewed round of protests from Corellian civilians.
Homebrew Corellia Planet Data Edit
Homebrew Corellia Planet data created by Wikia user CegeYajus.
Corellia is the capital planet of the Corellian system, which includes Selonia, Drall, Tralus, and Talus. It is also the birthplace of smuggler and New Republic General Han Solo as well as Rogue Squadron pilot and New Republic hero Wedge Antilles, along with many other Humans who played important roles in the histories of The Rebel Alliance, The New Republic and The Galactic Alliance.
Collectively, the planets of the system are known as the Five Brothers. As the largest planet and the closest to Corell, Corellia is often called the "Eldest Brother" or the "Eldest." Historians believe the Celestials assembled the system artificially, the worlds brought from other parts of the galaxy for unknown reasons. Some believe that these Celestials populated Corellia with Humans from Coruscant.

|10||Corellia serves as the administrative center for it's entire sector.|
|15||The shipyards of the Corellian Engineering Corporation are located in orbit around Corellia, and facilities fitted with warship docks are on the planet.|
|20||The Corellians are known for their prowess with Starships. From building ships to flying them, Corellians are well known for their skills. Because piracy and smuggling are well-known occupations of a strong number of Corellians, the local navy has been specializing in techniques designed to combat economic loss due to their activities.|
|15||Three large continents are present on Corellia; the planet's capital of Coronet is located on the coast of the southernmost and primary continent, near the eastern ocean.|
|20||Outside of such cities, Corellia's landscape hosts small towns and farms.|
|25||Snow-covered mountains dominant a part of the landscape. They are rumored to have many deep underwater caverns with orange Lightsaber Crystals.|
Corellia by Era Edit
The following Knowledge blocks are Knowledge (Galactic Lore) divided into eras.
Pre-Republic Era Edit
|15||Corellia may have been placed in its orbital position in the Corellian system by the ancient device known as Centerpoint Station. The world's population of Humans, Drall and Selonians predate it's recorded history.|
|20||Corellia eventually became a slave world of the Infinite Empire. In circa 30,000 BBY, Corellian slaves helped build The Star Forge. When the Rakata fell victim to a plague, the Corellians freed themselves in a revolt that occurred around 25,200 BBY.|
|25||Corellians spent the next 200 years reverse-engineering the Hyperdrive without the Force tools of the Rakata. A midstep, hyperspace cannons, connected Corellia with other Core Worlds such as Coruscant and Duro. The reinvention of the Hyperdrive in circa 25,053 BBY let the afore-mentioned and other worlds become the Core Founders of the Galactic Republic.|
The Old Republic Era Edit
|15||Corellia was a political power by the time of the Galactic Republic's formation, and the foundation of the Corellian Run in 25,000 BBY ensured its economic dominance within the emerging Republic, of which it is a member in good standing.|
|20||As Corellia prospered, it expanded its influence into neighboring space, acquiring and colonizing several dozen star systems which collectively became known as the Corellian sector. Over millennia, the world gains a reputation as a source of excellent ships and pilots and a refuge for smugglers.|
|25||Corellia attempted to secede from the Republic; although progressing far enough to close its sector's borders and withdraw from the Senate using Contemplanys Hermi, the plan ultimately failed and the system continues as a begrudging Republic member-state.|
The Rise of the Empire Era Edit
|15||Garm Bel Iblis became the Senator of Corellia in 35 BBY and represents the world during the Separatist Crisis in 22 BBY. The closure of Corellia's borders is carried out on 22 BBY, and continued for three years until 19 BBY.|
|20||Bel Iblis's attempt to insulate the system fails and Corellia soon becomes embroiled in the subsequent turmoil of the Clone Wars; the world supports the Republic war effort and dispatches task forces from it's sector fleet to repel Separatist advances and aid the Jedi.|
|25||Though the planet is spared an invasion or aggressive military action, the intense fighting on nearby Duro weakens Corellia's already troubled economy.|
The Dark Times Edit
|10||As Corellians are drafted into military service for the Empire to deal with the growing Rebellion, the overall security of the sector has decreased. Pirates take advantage of the opportunity that presents itself and grow more brazen, launching raids upon Starships that use nearby trade routes.|
|15||With the declaration of the New Order, Diktat Dupas Thomree makes a deal with Palpatine: Thomree could govern the Corellian Sector as he wished and mostly free of Imperial mandates so long as he paid taxes, war matériel and homage to the Emperor. Immediately after the start of the New Order, Corellia is wracked by anti-Imperial protests.|
|20||The Republic's planetary Governor of Corellia, Fliry Vorru, became the Imperial Moff of the Corellian Sector after the reformation into the Galactic Empire. The Moff tends to turn a blind eye to crime, being more interested in greater power and is considered a rival of Palpatine.|
|25||Garm Bel Iblis's concerns that the New Order is causing Corellia to lose its distinctive identity motivates him to participate in discussions regarding organized resistance to the Empire.|
The New Republic Era Edit
|15||Although Corellia was a fortress world of the Galactic Empire in 4 ABY, delegates from Corellia were among the main signatories of the Declaration of the Alliance of Free Planets and Corellia is one of the founding member worlds of The New Republic.|
