This Ritual is most commonly practised by members of Domain Shai and their disciples. The purpose is to open the practitioner's mind to new insights and tactics while in the Embrace of Pain.
Time: 3 Hours
Targets: Self
Requirements: Access to an Embrace of Pain
Make an Endurance check. The result of the check determines the benefits of the ritual:

| 16-21 | Your body is overwhelmed by the Embrace of Pain in the first hour. Before you succumbed to it, you were able to glean some small insight from your agony. You gain a +1 Faith bonus to either Knowledge (Tactics) or Perception skill checks (your choice). | |
| 22-27 | Your body is overwhelmed by the Embrace of Pain in the second hour. Before you succumbed to it, you were able to glean more insight from your agony. You gain a +2 Faith bonus to both Knowledge (Tactics) and Perception skill checks. | |
| 28+ | You are able to complete the Ritual without being overwhelmed by the Embrace of Pain. In transcending your agony, you gain great insights from it. You gain a +2 Faith bonus to both Knowledge (Tactics) and Perception skill checks, as well as a +2 Faith bonus to your Will Defense. In addition, you gain two temporary Faith Points that can be applied to any Knowledge or Intelligence check. |
