Atton Rand is a veteran of both The Mandalorian Wars and The Jedi Civil War and at one time he was a member of the Republic military who defected to The Sith Empire. Atton Rand is trained during The Jedi Civil War to resist detection and manipulation through The Force, which allows him to remain free of Jedi influence. Atton encounter The Exile on Peragus II and becomes an integral part of their efforts against the Sith Lords. He also regularly clashes with The Exile's companions throughout the journey, especially Mical who is also an admirer of The Exile. Atton's background is a mystery to his companions, though many see aspects of themselves in his attitudes and skills.
