Sister to the famed mercenary and bounty hunter Jango Fett, Arla, like her brother, gows up on Concord Dawn. During the Battle of Concord Dawn, the Fett family shelters Jaster Mereel's forces on their homestead, letting them recover from their most recent battle with Death Watch. However, they are easily tracked down, and the family is threatened unless they gave them information. Arla's mother shoots a mercenary aiming a blaster at Arla's father, resulting in the slaughter of both her parents. Arla herself is beaten, abused, and enslaved before eventually escaping.
Her fractured psyche never recovers from the intense trauma, and she is later arrested for a triple homicide. She serves over thirty years in a variety of prison environments, frequently making escape attempts and murdering fellow inmates. Eventually, she moves to Coruscant's Valorum Center for Mental Health. During General Grievous' invasion of Coruscant and capture of Chancellor Palpatine, Arla Fett is freed by Kal Skirata and brought to Mandalore. Arla receives only the best and most humane treatment over the next several years.
