Affiliations: The Ailon Nova Guard
While Ailon Nova Guard Soldiers constitute the backbone of The Ailon Nova Guard ground forces and the bulk of every infantry assault against an enemy position, Ailon Nova Guard Scout are typically deployed in support roles, mostly as vanguards, marksmen and even speeder bike riders, tough their training focuses more on markmanship rather than pilotage. Ailon Nova Guard Scouts' issued equipment is similar to that of Ailon Nova Guard Soldiers, including the Eklot Vibroblade, but Battle Armor is replaced by Camo Armor and their Blaster Rifle usually features Bipod and Double Trigger.

Ailon Nova Guard Scouts are mostly encountered as part of a scouting team (shall it be mounted or dismounted), or as snipers, and they can operate alone as well as a part of a mixed team made of Ailon Nova Guard Soldiers and Ailon Nova Guard Scouts. While they are capable to operate a Vehicle and its weapons without penalties, the absence of Vehicle-oriented Feats and Talents put them at disadvantage against dedicated pilot characters of equal level. Ailon Nova Guard Scouts are much more effective as marksmen in wildlands as well in urban environments: their Camo Armor greatly help them going unnoticed and then proceeding Snipe enemy troops at distance after Aim, thus gaining +2 to hit and +1 die of damage due the combination of Careful Shot, Deadeye and their rifles' Double Trigger.
The Eklot is considered here as a Vibroblade (Spring-Loaded) coated with Plant Toxin (Attack: +10 vs Fortitude Defense; Damage: 2d8 (-1 Persistent step on the Condition Track; Half Damage on Miss); Treat Injury (DC 23; Requires Medical Kit): The Persistent Condition caused by the Plant Toxin is removed). The Eklot is kept in a special Sheath with Environmental Sealing so that the toxin can be applied before the start of a battle and is not going to become inert as long as the weapon's blade is inside the sheath. After a successful attack against a target or after 1 minute (10 rounds) of exposure to the atmosphere, whichever comes first, the Poison on blade becomes inert.
