The Zabrak Jedi Master Agen Kolar is one of the two-hundred and twelve Jedi dispatched to Geonosis at the onset of the Clone Wars. Kolar shows impressive martial technique, and is among the survivors of the arena battle. His Padawan, Tan Yuster, was not so fortunate, dying in the conflict. Kolar is appointed to the Jedi Council following the death of Eeth Koth; though he lacked a mind for diplomacy, Kolar is coveted for his cool composure, unwavering dedication to The Jedi Order, and his strong skills in combat.
When the Clone Wars begin, Kolar- honor and loyalty-bound- eagerly accepts a general's commission in the Grand Army of the Republic. Agen Kolar's combat prowess ushers him to the front lines of Brentaal IV, a key Hyperspace crossroads at the edge of The Core overtaken by Warlord Shogar Tok. Agen Kolar and his army are assigned to a joint task force, along with Jedi Masters Plo Koon, Shaak Ti, and Shon Kon Ray, to retake the world from the Separatists. Intelligence reports had indicated that the tower emplacements and shields for the surface weaponry were offline, facilitating a ground assault; this was a gross error, however, and nearly a quarter of the task force is wiped out in the initial landing.
Agen Kolar works to fight on the northern face of the main fortress in the siege that followed. Although taking heavy losses, he is much more successful than Shaak Ti, who had loses her entire contingent and takes refuge in a nearby prison. Kolar is eventually overrun and captured, then horribly tortured and interrogated by Tok. Thanks to his great sacrifice and effort, Shaak Ti's plan succeeds, and Brentaal IV is reclaimed by the Republic.
When the identity of the Sith Lord is revealed as Chancellor Palpatine, Master Kolar is approached by Mace Windu to aid in the arrest of the villain. Kolar, reuniting with Kit Fisto and Saesee Tiin make their way to the Chancellor's office to take the Sith into custody. Their enemy is far more powerful than they'd anticipated, however, and the four were no match for Darth Sidious. Surprised by the Dark Lord's sheer speed and power, Agen is the first to fall to the Sith Master's crimson blade.
