Affiliations: The Jedi, The Galactic Republic

Adi Gallia was a sylphlike, dark-skinned, Corellian-born Human who was seated on the Jedi Council for a number of years preceding the Clone Wars. Despite the Jedi taboo of attachment, Gallia maintained a semblance of a relationship with her diplomat-parents and wore a tholoth headdress, traditional to her native Corellia. At a very young age, she was recognized for her innate sensitivity to The Force and was brought before the Jedi Council by her parents to begin her training. She inherited her parents' talent for diplomacy and was a valuable asset to The Jedi Order in maintaining Jedi-Senate relations using her well-honed intuition and researching skills.

Adi was a skilled duelist and pilot- mastering the unorthodox Shien style. She also led many space battles prior to and during the Clone Wars under the callsign "Shooting Star." Her profound understanding of galactic affairs and vast network of contacts and informants throughout the galaxy made her a commanding and powerful asset to The Jedi. It was for these reasons that she was appointed a short-term seat on the Jedi Council over twenty years before the Clone Wars began. Adi Gallia was particularly close to fellow council member Even Piell, who years ago rescued Gallia's parents from a Red laro terrorist attack on Piell's home planet of Lannik.

Throughout the course of her career, Adi Gallia played a crucial role in several galactic events. Twenty-two years before the Clone Wars, she was handpicked by then-Senator Finnis Valorum to take part in the negotiations between the Stark Combine and the Republic in the Qotile System. When tensions at the table escalated into an attack on a senator, Gallia was ordered to protect Valorum by the fatally wounded Wookiee Jedi Master, Tyvokka. Adi escorted Valorum to safety, having witnessed the start of the Stark Hyperspace Wars.

Adi Gallia trained at least two Padawan Learners during her tenure, the most notable of which was a female named Siri Tachi. Gallia and Tachi, along with Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and his Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi, were sent to the planet Kegan to establish diplomatic talks with the isolationist world while testing an infant for Force Sensitivity twenty-one years before the Clone Wars. By convincing the planet's inhabitants to shake off the cruelty of the Benevolent Guides who controlled the planet, Gallia and her companions were able to convince Kegan to lift its self-imposed quarantine and join The Galactic Republic. One year later, Gallia and Tachi assisted Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi on a mission to the stripmined world of Simpla-12. There they rescued Qui-Gon Jinn from the crazed scientist Jenna Zan Arbor and foiled her scheme to contaminate the planet's water supply. Eleven years later, Master Gallia's far-reaching contacts alerted her of strange and uncharacteristic activity by the Trade Federation in The Outer Rim Territories when the megacorporation began purchasing Droid Starfighters en masse. Gallia informed Supreme Chancellor Valorum of these events, and when the disgruntled Neimoidians of the Trade Federation proceeded with their plan, Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi were immediately dispatched to force a settlement.

In the months following the Battle of Naboo, Gallia was attached to a diplomatic mission sent to Malastare to establish peace talks between the Red Iaro terrorist group and Lannik government representatives. However, much to Adi's dismay, the entire conference was a set-up by the Red Iaro to assassinate the Lannik Royal family. Fortunately, Master Gallia was able to lend her martial prowess to foil the assassination attempt and help restore peace.

Two years after the invasion of Naboo, Adi Gallia was assigned to investigate the murders of Jedi Knights J'Mikel and Peerce with fellow Jedi Ki-Adi-Mundi and A'Sharad Hett. The situation turned into an all-out manhunt for the bounty hunter, Aurra Sing. Gallia and her companions tracked Sing down to the Kamdon System, however, the assassin laid a trap for the unsuspecting Jedi. Adi Gallia and the other Jedi nearly perished in the ambush, and Aurra Sing managed to elude capture.

As tensions rose between the Republic and the Separatist movement sweeping the galaxy, Kuat Systems Engineering and the Senate approached Adi Gallia and requested that she serve as one of several test pilots for their new Delta-7 Aethersprite Interceptor. Jedi Padawan Aayla Secura and fellow council member Saesee Tiin also took part in the project. To field test the "Jedi Starfighter" as it came to be known, Adi Gallia was sent to make contact with the pirate Nym in the Karthakk System. She first met his contact, Reti, who had been traced by the Trade Federation, but the pair was able to escape into Hyperspace and Adi was taken to Nym. Unfortunately, when she arrived, Nym was already embroiled in a brutal aerial battle on Maramere. Gallia saw an opportunity to put Nym in her debt and assisted him both in that battle, and in freeing Captain Orsai from the Trade Federation prison, Space Station 1138.

The group then returned to Maramere, bent on defending it from Captain Cavik Toth of Sabaoth Squadron and his Trihexalon Missiles. Gallia performed admirably, saving the city from assault by multiple waves of Trihexalon Missiles, shooting them all out of the sky in her nimble fighter. Afterward, Adi joined Nym and his crew on Nod Kartha, where the improvised squadron destroyed the Hex factory, putting a stop to the threat at its source.

Following the successful campaign at Nod Kartha, Adi Gallia was summoned to Geonosis where Mace Windu was spearheading an offensive against The Confederacy of Independent Systems. Reunited with her former Padawan, Siri Tachi, Adi Gallia supported the Republic efforts in Geonosian orbit. The two escorted the Acclamator-Class Assault Ship Aken, carrying Grand Master Yoda and his army safely to the planet's surface. Gallia then led several Jedi, assisted by Nym and the Maramere forces, in an intense battle against Sabaoth Squadron in orbit over Geonosis. Gallia and her companions succeeded in preventing the mercenary from carpet bombing the Republic staging areas below with deadly Hex Missiles. Enraged and in denial over his apparent defeat, Toth flew out to meet Adi Gallia in his personal starfighter and challenged the Jedi Master to a dogfight. Gallia granted him his request and soundly defeated the Sabaoth leader. Toth's fleet fell moments after his demise. The combined efforts of Nym's forces, the Maramere resistance, and the Jedi led by Adi Gallia saved countless lives on Geonosis and assured victory for the Republic. Gallia vowed to watch over the Karthakk System in appreciation of Nym and the Maramere forces assistance.

Adi Gallia continued to serve on the Jedi Council during the early stages of the Clone Wars. In the war's second month, she put her piloting skills to the test at the First Battle of Kamino alongside Aayla Secura, Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Tsui Choi. Although Republic forces in orbit were overwhelmed and Starfighters led by the legendary Mon Calamari tactician Merai managed to reach Tipoca City, the Republic was successful in defending the Kamino cloning facility.

By the fourth month of the Clone Wars, space pirates had grown bold in raiding primary shipping lanes, convinced the Republic would be unable to spare resources to combat them during the epic struggle. Adi's time with Nym provided her invaluable knowledge on the inner workings of pirate bands, making her the logical choice to assist in a campaign against them. First, Gallia supported Jedi Master Plo Koon in a mission to rescue Alderaanian Senator Bail Organa from a pirate assault. Later that month, she lent fighter support to Ki-Adi-Mundi and Anakin Skywalker, who were rooting out pirates on the Ison Corridor near Varonat. As Mundi and Skywalker raced to Riflor to rescue Obi-Wan Kenobi and ARC Trooper Alpha-17, Gallia stayed behind to beat back the pirate fleet.

Gallia spent much of the remainder of the war moving from battle to battle. In the seventh month of the war, she led a successful campaign at Agamar. In the twentieth month of the war, Gallia embarked on a logistics mission to Alderaan suspected of being targeted by the enemy. Under the command of Jedi Master Ph'ton, they escorted a critical supply delivery to the peaceful world. The Trade Federation had a small contingent of warships in the system, but not enough to stage a full-scale invasion on Alderaan. Gallia and her companions beat back squadrons of Droid Starfighters to allow the convoy of AA-9 Freighter-Liners to complete their mission.

Five months before the war came to a close, Adi Gallia was sent as part of a task force to the graveyard world of Boz Pity. Masters Adi Gallia and Soon Bayts, along with their armies, were sent in a first wave to combat the Confederate forces discovered on the planet. Gallia and Bayts located and confronted General Grievous, but the pair was no match for Confederate commander. Bayts was slain and Gallia was forced to retreat. Regrouping with Alpha-17's squad seven, Gallia pursued Grievous. After dispatching several of the general's MagnaGuards, Adi Gallia confronted the Kaleesh general, but was again outmatched. Unfortunately, the Jedi Master was caught off guard as Grievous locked her in a stranglehold with one pair of arms, and stabbed her through the chest with a second set of arms.
