Homebrew Reference Book: Saga Species Sourcebook
Ab'Ugartte are a sentient race known to be secluded and unfriendly. Among many of the characteristics of Ab'Ugartte that make them somewhat socially incompatible with the rest of civilized galactic society are their tendencies to forego bathing and to pummel sapient beings into bloody unconsciousness and eat them alive or cooked.
A little-known Species not known for their congeniality, Ab'Ugartte who leave their homeworld are considered outcasts even among them. Many tend toward occupations of menial labor or hired muscle, such as smugglers, slavers, spice-jackers, and garbage techs.
Ab'Ugartte Characteristics[]
Personality: Ab'Ugartte are unfriendly and sullen, uninterested in galactic society. Coupled with their poor hygiene habits, Ab'Ugartte have largely kept to the sidelines since their introduction to the galaxy.
Physical Description: Ab'Ugartte are a hulking, churlish species with pale skin, large, unblinking black eyes and a large mouth filled with enormous macrodontic incisors and molars.

Homeworld: Unknown. Ab'Ugartte have disseminated themselves throughout the galaxy leaving little indication of their origin.
Languages: Ab'Ugartte speak Ab'Ugartte. A simple language lacking any written form.
Example Names: Jak Sazz, Naak Grett, Sla'd Pur.
Adventurers: Those Ab'Ugartte traveling the galaxy are usually content with mental labor and straightforward goals. As such, Ab'Ugartte make good Soldiers, Scoundrels or Technicians. Force-using Ab'Ugartte exist, but they usually have little interest in their power over The Force.
Ab'Ugartte Species Traits[]
Ab'Ugartte share the following Species Traits:
- Ability Modifiers: All Ab'Ugartte receive a +2 bonus to their Constitution, but suffer a -2 penalty to their Charisma. Ab'Ugartte are hulking brutes with little interest in others.
- Medium Size: As Medium creatures, Ab'Ugartte have no special bonuses or penalties due to their size.
- Speed: Ab'Ugartte have a base speed of 6 squares.
- Odiferous: An Ab'Ugartte who successfully Grabs an opponent imposes a -4 on the target's attacks (instead of the usual -2), and imposes a -2 on the target's attacks with Natural or Light Weapons.
- Sturdy: Ab'Ugartte are tough and resilient, capable of shrugging off injuries that would cripple other Species. Whenever an Ab'Ugartte catches a Second Wind, he or she regains a number of additional Hit Points equal to 5 + one-half its level.
- Toxic Resistance: Ab'Ugartte receive a +5 Species bonus to their Fortitude Defense against Poisons and Toxic Atmospheres.
- Automatic Languages: All Ab'Ugartte can speak Ab'Ugartte. They have no written form of their language.
