Use in Play

This build can be perfect as a bit different late-game boss for separatist heroes. For example, he stole top secret plans from Separatist base and players have to hunt him in the middle of a jungle. Or reversed situation - players stole something from the Republic and he is hunting them. He knows that he might not be able to beat players in open encounter, so our ARC tries to slow PCs down as much as possible, attacking them at night, just to escape when all players wake up, stealing or destroying their supplies or attract wildlife to their camp making player's life a nightmare.

For Republic players he might act as a sort of guide or another type of ally.

Or even Republic players might have him as an enemy, as he might be a clone defector with valuable intel hiding in a jungle, trying to reach separatist lines.

Build Options

This build connects official Republic Clone species and Homebrew CWSB way of Clone-creating. First of all, I treat base Republic Clone species as rank-and-file Clone Trooper, with different genetic upgrades from Cloner Talent Tree beeing given to specialized clones like Clone Commanders, Republic Commandos or ARCs. The usage of Cloner Talent Tree might make this build a bit above average CL 12 Nonheroic, so sometimes it might be good idea to drop Designer Genes traits or treat this character as at least CL 13. Hovewer these clones were geneenginered to be above average, so Designer Genes trait feats perfectly, I think.

Another usage of CWSB book is equipment. DC-17 Blaster Pistol, WESTAR-M5 Blaster Rifle and ARC Trooper Armor can be easily swapped for regular Blaster Pistol (or Heavy Blaster Pistol), Blaster Rifle and Stormtrooper Armor to avoid usage of Homebrew equipment. Hovewer be advised, that current equipment is a little bit better than regular Core Rulebook equipment, so this change, same as removing Designer Genes, will take this build further from it's Clone Trooper above average uniqness.
